Jenny was a vibrant, dynamic young woman who passionately championed the cause of agriculture. Her dedication to God, her loved ones, and the Beef Industry was unwavering. Her tenacity and refusal to accept defeat was a testament to her belief in her abilities to achieve whatever she desired. She was truly a beacon of optimism and a symbol of a promising future for the Beef Industry.

Scholarship Worth $750:

  • The scholarship amount of $750 will be disbursed at the onset of the Fall Semester/Quarter.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be residents of Washington
  • Must be an Undergraduate or Graduate Student
  • Enrollment in a 2-year community/technical college or a 4-year college/university is mandatory

Deadline for submission:

  • The application should be submitted via email by August 15, 2025, for the academic year 2025-26.
  • The scholarship winner will be publicly announced latest by the Annual WCA Convention in the Fall.
  • Applications should be emailed to evp@wacattle.org by the given deadline.

Application must include:

  • Applicant's Name
  • Postal Address
  • City/State/Zip (for check delivery)
  • Contact Number
  • Email Address
  • Name of the College to be attended
  • Chosen Major
  • Current Year in School
  • Two Letters of Recommendation
  • A portrait or other photograph of the applicant

Provide concise responses to the following inquiries:

  1. A brief biography for publication if selected for the scholarship (Importance of Agriculture in your life, your post-graduation contributions to Agriculture, and the significance of the scholarship funds to you)
  2. How have you previously contributed to the beef industry and what is your current involvement?
  3. What are your aspirations for the future?
  4. How have your ethical and spiritual beliefs shaped your life? (Discuss Church & Community involvement, etc.)
  5. Why do you believe you should be the one to receive this scholarship? (Feel free to express your need.)
